COMMUNITY DIABETES AWARENESS 

Does your club have a diabetes chair?

Does your club serve through Community Diabetes Awareness projects?  Then……

Get recognized! Get a Banner Patch!

Your efforts through the current Lion year 2005-06 can get recognized through a new Community Diabetes Awareness Banner Patch.  Four basic qualifying criteria have been set - - meeting any three of them qualifies your club for the banner patch.

1. The Club must have an active Club Diabetes Chair
    

2. The Club must participate in at least one statewide diabetes project suggested by the Wisconsin Lions Diabetes Focus Group (DFG).  (A listing of qualifying projects will be sent to your club WLF Program Associate soon.)
    

3. The Club must provide evidence of financial support to both
   a) Camp for children with Diabetes at Lions Camp
   b) Diabetes awareness, education and /or research
    

4. The Club must initiate a diabetes education or awareness project of your choice in your local community.

Details are being sent to your WLF Program Associate for distribution.
