PDGO Constitution

Greetings,

The Past District Governors Organization is made up Lions in Wisconsin who are former District Governors. Even though our year as District Governor is over, our leadership skills, knowledge and experience are still viable.  We feel that we are a valuable resource and still have a lot to give.  Even though many of our members have leadership roles on their District Cabinets or in other Lions organizations, what should be our collective role at the state level?  How do we support the current Council of Governors without telling them what they should be doing?  How can we relate to the Boards of Directors of the Wisconsin Lions Foundation and the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin without getting in their way? 

The answers to these questions are complex and they have great implications for our organization as well as the Lions of Wisconsin.  Does Lions International President Mahendra Amarasuriya’s theme, “Challenge to Change”, speak to our organization?  We need to band together at all levels of Lionism, to focus on our motto, “We Serve”.  The need for making a difference in the lives of others is great.  How can we help?
