Greetings,
The Past District Governors Organization is made up of Lions in
Wisconsin who are former District Governors. Even though our year as
District Governor is over, our leadership skills, knowledge
and experience are still viable. We feel that we are a valuable resource
and still have a lot to give. Many of our members have leadership roles
on their District Cabinets or in other Lions
organizations. We’ve had many questions in the past as to what should be
our role and how should we support the current Council of Governors,
Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Lions Foundation
and the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin.
These questions can be answered with our mission: To provide the
Multiple District 27 Lions continued leadership by helping them to
understand and meet their responsibilities as members of the world’s
largest service organization “Lions Clubs International”.
To expand opportunities and enhance the quality of mankind through
continued support and leadership for the lions of Multiple District 27
and to help advance Lionism in Multiple District 27 by leading,
strengthening and educating for the betterment of mankind.
Some of our members wrote articles on who we are. Listed below are
four articles for your reading enjoyment.

Yours in service,
Virgil Thompson, President
